The Creality CR-Scan Ferret is a cost-effective 3D scanner that offers a compact design, dual mode scanning, and an ASIC chipset up to 30FPS. It can provide full-color scanning, easy operation, and outdoor scanning with low power consumption. The 3D scanner can provide over 2 hours of continuous scanning using its charging handle and can be powered with a 5V power bank.
To use the CR-Scan Ferret, make sure the scanned object is larger than 505050mm. After connecting the device, select the option matching your item. If the displayed distance is "perfect" and the item is tracked, the scan can be started. While scanning, if tracking is lost, backtrack to the previous scanned area and hold for a few seconds to resume tracking. It is recommended to use a tool such as a turntable to scan 360° around the object at least 3 times for small objects.
The CR-Scan Ferret is compatible with Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Android 11/12/13, and Mac OS (with additional WiFi6 Wireless Bridge accessories). It can export model files in PLY, OBJ, and STL formats, which are compatible with most design software.
The scanner offers an accuracy of 0.1mm, a resolution/point distance of 0.16mm, and a single capture range of 560820mm@700mm. The working distance is 150~700mm, and the minimum scanning size is 5050*50mm. The frame rate/scan speed is up to 30 fps, and it uses NIR light source with support for outdoor scanning in bright sunlight.
